the cardboard cover acts as a frame to the front page image
all advertising within the magazine has been moved to the back cover where companies are treated more like sponsors or this inside pocket, to remove any interruptions during reading. the inside cover will have a pocket for the Conservationist for Kids, various maps and guides, as well as stickers or promos supplied by sponsors
the layout was changed to a three column grid to accommodate images of three sizes and pull quotes intersecting text flow. magazine staff would have the ability to layout issues with minimal knowledge of indesign.
